Whether it’s the comfortable, family atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, or the authentic mechanical train that circles the top of the restaurant, folks have gathered at the Olde B&W Village Inn for the better part of the last century.

The B&W was originally owned by a woman in the 30’s, and eventually passed onto her sons. Known as “Snyders”, it was said to have a 2-unit boarding house above and a barber shop where the kitchen now exists.
A resident of the apartment above during the 40’s recalls the revelry that lasted for days on Main and Front streets as the townspeople celebrated the end of World War II.

Purchased by cousins, Wally Wagner and Bill Maycroft in the 70’s, it became the B&W Olde Village Inn. The “Wally Burger” was added to the menu where it is one of the most popular menu items today.

If you’re feeling adventurous, ask for a “Tinker’s Salad” – not on the menu, but ordered by a local often enough to have it named after her.

Purchased in 2003 by John & Nicki Izokaitis, it remains a family owned business.

The Olde B&W Village Inn is said to be the oldest bar in the town of Buchanan with its original architecture still intact, so please come and enjoy the great food and atmosphere and get a great piece of Buchanan history!
